Two weeks ago, my life changed totally and, I have
to say, for the better when a little scamp called Jack came to live with
me two weeks ago this past Tuesday.
For some time I had thought of getting a pet and a
cat was not possible as several of my friends are highly allergic to
them, so I decided upon a dog. I found Poplar Farm Kennels in a web
search and completed the questionnaire, after seeing a photo of Jack, a
cute Jack Russell.
Rachel came round the same day I sent the form back
and then the next day (a Tuesday), she brought Jack with her.
Jack
and I clicked immediately and he certainly took to my home! It did not
take me long to decide to adopt him, so all the forms were signed, the
donation handed over and I was the owner of a simply adorable rascal.
Since then the bond has deepened and Jack has
settled in very well. We go for long walks and have huge fun playing
games. He sleeps on my bed and gives me huge licks and lots of love.
Yesterday he was off his lead for the first time
and what fun he had! He came back to me every time I called and was no
trouble at all.
I do feel as if I have known Jack a long time and
am so very pleased and glad I adopted him that Tuesday. I hope to have
many happy years with this loveable rapscallion.
